OK here is my story- I have to say that I had high expectations for this years Beachwood after hearing about the event from some fellow discers..I couldn't wait to get there! It ended up being one of the best weekends of my life! When I arrived on friday the first thing I noticed was how nice the place looked(kick ass job to everyone who did grounds work!) it was like a picture out of a disc golf magazine. I headed to the top of the hill to set up camp and ended up with some great neighbors one of which was Hugh with his shower that looked like a house and tent that was bigger than my house. What cool people I had the chance to meet or get to know better. They had nicknames like Shooter, Brown Guy, Grandaddy, OZ, Dirty Sanchez, Z, Double D, Big John, "Team Dizzle", Troy Dog whom everyone heard and i think broke a chair ..lol, Team Nichter who I found out were the beer pong champions of the world, and all the others... There was great food, a pond that was soooo refreshing, tasty beverages, great weather, groovy people, great music, excellent camping, and AWESOME golf including JUMBO putt. This weekend I learned what this sport is really about.

I think I can speak for everyone who attended this event when I sincerely say THANK YOU to everyone who had a part in making the Beachwood5 happen.

Fantastic weekend!! Like Matt...I met some of the greatest people and got to know some of our local NRDGers way better. I have to say...next year I am going to make sure I get to play (it will be way less work).

Thank you Mark and Sheri...for the blood, sweat and tears AND thank you to Grandaddy and the Chainbiters for keeping up that wonderful Brown's Farm all year and allowing us to take it over for a few days.

Here is to a more spectacular Beachwood 6!

Thank you for all for the kind words, so glad to hear that you had fun. Without the players having fun the 6 months of work means nothing for Sheri, Chainbitters, and myself. So thanks to everyone who came because you make the beachwood what it truely is.

OKAY!!!!! I really feel as though Mark & I put on a top notch tournament. It appeared to me that everyone had an amazing time. We need to re-thank all of our tee sponsors and tournament sponsors. Without financial backing we can't really have that much fun. There were some last minute donations that really really helped. Derek Reid threw down a tee at the last minute. Matt Podlegar showed with a CTP prize worth over $100 bucks. Jim Vansuch Sr showed up on sunday with a tee sponsors worth of ice and refused payment. Thanks Jim & Derek & Matt!!

Eileen Mikulec & Tammy List are goddesses that deserve lifetime happiness and piles of gifts that are shiny. These two girls were absolutely amazing and were the only reason why the BWC V ran as smoothly as it did AND the only way Mark & I could have played. thank you thank you thank you thank you. A special thanks to my out of town helpers Lara and Patty.

Mark's cousins Josh and a few others were indispensable.
Conrad Young gave his time Friday and Sunday even though he wasn't playing. THANKS GUYS!

To every boy who ran to my hollers of, "I need a boy", THANKS MAN.

Luke from a million miles away was instrumental in getting the payout done and letting me get a few hours of sleep saturday night. (Big surprise there....me running to luke for help....like we havent seen that before.)

THANK YOU TO THE TEN OPEN WOMEN WHO SHOWED THE BUFFALO BOYS A THING OR TWO!!!

THANK YOU GRANDAZZLE & THE CHAINBITER CREW!!!!!!! YOU ROCK MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY!!!!

The course was amazing due hugely to Mark, the Chainbiters and all you righteous folk that came and helped. THANK YOU.

Doug & Mary- I love you!!!

Buffalo is ready for an A tier and it smells like Beachwood!!!!!!!

My favorite moment.......when Geoff winner of the tournament had to play beer bitch for the jumbo putters. THAT was awesome.

call Granddaddy and ask 716-965-2109 ( i think this is his number, its from Chainbiters website)

you will probably be asked to make a small donation, which will probably be less than camping anywhere else.

That pretty much sums up my whole weekend. I'm writing up a "blog" that I'll post here once it's done.
