I have said this before as well. As an option. I don't know how well it would work for everyone. There are several factors to consider.

I'd throw out there that the open players are not THAT much better across the board. AND it's doubles - so your chances are just as good that you'll draw a ringer and get some cash. I didn't think I was ready for open few years back - but once you make the jump it's not all that different.

This.

People have a false sense of how good you have to be to play in the open division in the doubles league. People just need to move up next year. That's all.

People are probably busy this summer, it happens. A lot of us have other commitments than golf. The bridge construction is probably one of the biggest factors. I deal with it every day! Can't wait until it's done.

I would like to see a north and a south open leage. This would make it easyer for people like me, able to play more.
